It's Aloha Friday again over at An Island Life! Answer my question and make sure you post one on your blog! After that, go relax because today is Friday!!
It's been a super long time since I've blogged one of these.
What is one of your money saving secrets?
It's not really a secret, but I recently started clipping coupons. I save anywhere from $50-$70 dollars per grocery trip. That is super exciting to me. It's actually pretty good considering the commissary doesn't double or triple coupons. Imagine how much I could save if they did? I have 5 boxes of Equal that I got for free!!! Hey! When you have a coupon for $2.50 off a box of Equal that costs $2.49 you just can't pass it up!!!! I also buy my kids' clothes a season ahead so I can buy most on sale and/or clearance. I will then turn around and sell it on eBay and use that money towards more new clothes. I'm such a spender but I make up for it by being thrifty.

I don't have many...I need some though!
Well, don't laugh, but ~ I never keep much cash in my wallet - it really keeps me from buying all those things I don't really need!
I try to buy stuff on sale, but that is about it. I'm really not very good at it either. I clip coupons, but never get around to using them (or forget them when I go out!).
Clearance aisles lol I use coupons..sometimes. I sign up for everything free online lol And probably the best tip is to stick to a list.. my husband always goes off with his own cart oh my word.. I can't believe all the things he brings back to my cart LOL
I have also gotten more into coupons lately. I love saving the money and matching them up with amazing sales.
I go to the discount grocery outlet 30 mins away every 3 weeks and load up, instead of shopping at the major supermarket down the street every week. I save approx. $300 a month.
i've recently started doing serious couponing, too. i am also queen clearance rack, especially for kids' clothes.
buying stuff on sale and using coupons for those things! I get many things for almost free!
Ok, you must be visiting the commissary alone, right? I clip coupons and shop at the commissary, but usually end up saving about $8-10. Once, when my husband came to help with the 3 hooligans, I managed to save $22. How do you save so much?!
