Aloha Fridaaaaaaaaaaaay

Aloha Friday is brought to you by An Island Life. Head on over and join in!

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is a day to take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

Man I love me some Friday! Anyway, here we go with another fun filled edition of Aloha Friday!

What kind of camera do you have?

I have a Sony Cybershot which I love, and a Canon 5D DSLR which I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE! I'm sad that digital cameras weren't around when I was in school. I would have so many pictures to go with my high school memories.

When it comes to food. What is your favorite guilty pleasure?

Aside from fast food, LOL. I love love love my MIL's cream cheese danish. They are so easy to make, and I could probably eat an entire batch by myself. YUM!

Are you a night owl or a morning glory?

I am definitely a night owl. I hate waking up in the morning. I would love to lay in bed for 30 minutes after waking up, but that rarely happens.

What kind of car do you drive?

I drive an '06 Nissan Pathfinder. I've been pressing the husband for a bigger SUV but it's looking like we may be heading in the mini van direction. Boo! I wouldn't mind a new Durango or a Tahoe! :-D

What is your favorite "date night" restaurant?

Mine is P.F. Changs. We don't get date nights very often, so when we do we volley between The Cheesecake Factory (his choice) and Changs which is my choice. We tried The Melting Pot once and I was not impressed. If I'm going to drop that kind of money on dinner, I don't want to have to cook it! :-P

If you had $500 to spend on ANYTHING for yourself what would it be?

I would probably buy a new lens. Shocking I know. It was the first thing that popped into my head and this is supposed to be an easy thinking kind of day.

Aloha Friday - Cha Ching

It's Aloha Friday again over at An Island Life! Answer my question and make sure you post one on your blog! After that, go relax because today is Friday!!

It's been a super long time since I've blogged one of these.

What is one of your money saving secrets?

It's not really a secret, but I recently started clipping coupons. I save anywhere from $50-$70 dollars per grocery trip. That is super exciting to me. It's actually pretty good considering the commissary doesn't double or triple coupons. Imagine how much I could save if they did? I have 5 boxes of Equal that I got for free!!! Hey! When you have a coupon for $2.50 off a box of Equal that costs $2.49 you just can't pass it up!!!! I also buy my kids' clothes a season ahead so I can buy most on sale and/or clearance. I will then turn around and sell it on eBay and use that money towards more new clothes. I'm such a spender but I make up for it by being thrifty.

Aloha Friday: Edumacation

It's Friggity Friday! YAY! Just a week from today and I will be celebrating my golden birf-day! Boo to getting older, YAY to the presents! LOL! So in Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that they take it easy and look forward to the weekend. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question that requires a simple answer. No major thinking necessary.

For more Aloha Friday surf on over to An Island Life where you can answer their Friday question.

Today's question: What are you thankful for?

So much for being easy, LOL. I'm thankful for A LOT. My husband, my children, my family. My health, the health of my children, my home, the food I put in my belly. That's the short of it. Keeping it simple for Aloha Friday.

So, onto my question.

Do you live in a Mansion, Apartment, Shack or House?
(If this doesn't make you smile just a little bit then I must have been the only lamer to play this game, ROFL)

OK seriously, my question is....

Did you go to college? Where? What did you major in? Was it worth it?

I did not go to college *sigh*. I would love to go to become a professional photographer.

Aloha Friday #: I Lost Count

Speaking of An Island Life, the question for today is asking, Where do you live and what is the weather like?

I live in sunny Florida. Just outside Tampa. Right now it's hot, muggy, and cloudy. This saddens me, as I am from the midwest and the mideast where this time of year should be nice and cold. I should be in a hoodie not a tank top. But I live the life of a military wife and so we travel.

Since my house looks like the perfect candidate for the show Clean House I thought I would post a question about house cleaning.

What is your least favorite chore?

Mine is dishes. I loathe them. I don't mind filling up the dish washer, but I am the anti-unloader. I hate hand washing anything and I am the queen of "letting it soak" for DAYS!

Aloha Friday #3 or maybe #4

TGIF!!!!!!!! To make it even better it's also HALLOWEEN! I love this time of year. The question over at An Island Life asks us how we celebrate Halloween. We go trick or treating then come home and hand out candy while watching scary movies. The original Pysho never gets old. I also love The Nanny. It's a B&W flick. Love it!

So my question for you all is...

What is your all time favorite scary movie?

Mine is The Shining. The original. Oy, that movie always gives me nightmares.

Aloha Friday

IT'S FRIDAAAAAAAAAAY! The last day of the week for waking up early, making lunches, and running all over creation. It's finally time to start winding down and getting ready for the relaxing weekend. So I'm joining Kailani over at Island Life for a little Aloha Friday. Every Friday Kailani challenges us to an easy question that takes minimal effort to answer and asks us to do the same. So here is my question...

What is your hobby?

I love to take pictures and do digital scrapping. If I could get away with doing it all day every day I would, LOL.

ALOHA FRIDAY - GOING GREEN

Well it's that time of week again. Friday! Time for some re-lax-ation. I wasn't sure what the topic would be for today but as I started this post a story about a green gym came on. The gym is completely green. No not the color. It's environmentally friendly! So, where is my question.

What is something "green" you are doing?

Sadly we don't do much. We need to do more. We have recycle bins we don't use for anything but pizza boxes. Today is the day for change. I am going to look at everyone's responses and try to get some ideas. We have a programmable thermostat. Maybe I will bust out the book and learn how to program it. We do bath the boys together to conserve on water. Josslyn takes baths with mommy. My washer is an energy star washer. It only uses the necessary amount of water and energy to spin the water out. So yay...I guess I do some things. OK, not so short, but oh well.

Aloha Friday: What is YOUR must see TV?

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day they take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

Now, with that said, on to my question. With "National Stay Home Week" AKA, all the new shows we love starting up, my question is this.

What is YOUR must see TV?

My must see show is CSI: Vegas. I am sad that it is not starting this week. I am waiting IMPATIENTLY for it to start. My other MUST SEE show is Law & Order: SVU. My poor DVR gets a massive work out on Thursday nights, that's for sure!
