Simply Amazing
For the past few weeks I've been following McMama and her pregnancy with sweet baby Stellan.
(click the button to read)
Here is a little background on Baby Stellan...
"MckMuffin is our 36 week old unborn son S--our fourth blessing! He was quite unexpectedly given to us, and even more unexpected was his diagnosis of heart failure: Premature Atrial Contraction at 20 weeks; Supraventricular Tachycardia, hydrops, and intermittent advanced secondary heart block at 23 weeks; and enlargement of the heart at 32 weeks. We were told at 24 weeks that he would surely die. God performed a miracle and MckMuffin is still with us! The doctors are unsure about what will happen to our baby when he is born. But God is not unsure!! We are praying for MckMuffin's full healing, but we know that God is good no matter what He decides."
This morning a miracle happened. Baby Stellan was born and received apgars of 9 & 9!!!!!!! Can you believe it?! Simply amazing. Welcome to the world Stellan.

Will You Still Love Me, Tomorrow?
So I was catching up on my blogical reads this morning. The weekend was packed full of fun with painting the nursery, cleaning the garage and carving pumpkins. I was reading an entry from Jenni over at the Jiggety Jigg, (BTW, if you haven't read her blog you should. I'm just sayin'.) and her post Ways I Make It Hard To Love Me made me stop and think of all the crazy ass things I make Rich do and put up with. Anyone who knows me IRL knows, it's hard to love me, LMAO. Especially after a bowl of red beans and rice. There was one thing I did though that almost pushed him over the edge. Just one thing that almost made him say "see ya sista!" I have a problem with using the bathroom in front of Rich. I can pee no problem, but when it comes to the other, yea, you know the one, or should I say, two, I get "stage fright" you could say. So not only do I need the toilet room door locked, I need the bathroom door locked, and the bedroom door locked. If I could have an iron door and 20 locks as well, I would. The only other time I've done that in his presence was when I was giving birth to Justyn. Not my proudest moment. In fact there was a lot about his delivery that was rather embarrassing, but that my friend is another blog post. Anywho, so back to the thing. In the early stages of our relationship. Back when everything we did was cute and would do anything for each other. I would spend the weekends at his house. It would figure that that would be the time I haaaaaaaaaaaad to go to the bathroom. Rich rented a room from some old lady so all he had was a bedroom, and a bathroom. With only 1 door between him and I. YIKES! So, one morning (probably more than 1 morning, haha) I told him I was "craving" applejuice because I knew he didn't have any. It was a week night so I knew he had to be up at 5:30 A.M. for work. Still, I pressed for the applejuice. PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE get me some applejuice. Just to get him to leave the house so I could use the bathroom. ROFL! It worked, but it's a good thing we moved into an apartment together with at least 2 doors between us or we could very well be married to other people, LMAO! He must really love me. He finally admitted his desire to almost leave me after we were married. I can't help but to laugh. It's amazing the vile things I can do around my husband, that just ain't one of them!

Fit For a Princess
We finally got around to painting Josslyn's nursery this weekend. It was a lot easier than when we painted Jacob's room that's for sure. We still need to get her some window treatments and wall pretties. She also needs a crib mattress. We are still co-sleeping so I'm really not in a huge hurry. Here are some pics. My good camera is dead, it never gets charged. So I had to use the good ole P&S camera.

Husband: Bob Ross? The dude with the fro?
Wife: Yea!
Husband: Why do you know his name?!
Wife: Don't act like you didn't watch Bob Ross.
Husband: Bob Ross wouldn't be proud of you for painting a big wall white.
Wife: Uh huh!
Husband: Maybe if you were painting a tree with a shimmy, but monkeys could do what we're doing. Bob Ross would not be proud of you.
Wife: Well I think he would.
Husband: Ok Dear...

Labor Of Love
It was only 3 years ago today I was at the beginning stages of labor with our angel Grace. I was full of mixed emotions. I couldn't wait to hold her. Who would she look like? I held on to hope that the doctors were all wrong. They had to be. She was my perfect baby girl. I followed all the rules. I didn't do drugs or drink. I wanted her so badly before she was ever conceived. I knew the day I took the test she was going to be a she. I had a name picked out for her already. Ava Elizabeth. Ava for my initials, and Elizabeth after my mother. All was right in our world when I saw that perfect positive pregnancy test. The induction started at 4:30 P.M. This was it. They told me I wouldn't make it to 30 weeks and here we were at 38. She was still alive and kicking me. Rolling around as if nothing was wrong. I didn't want it to end. I labored for 22 hours total over the course of 2 days. Stopping the pitocin for the night to sleep. I still remember the lady in the next room screaming for "God" to make the pain stop. I wanted to go over there and tell her to shut up. Stop complaining. At least when the pain is gone you will have your beautiful baby. You will get to take him home and watch him grow. Just. Shut. UP! They kept threatening me with a c-section. Not me lady! You can take your c-section and shove it. I think I will be left with enough emotional scaring to last a lifetime. I don't need you to leave a visable one too. I knew I could do it. I gave birth to a 9lb 4.5oz baby, I can give birth to a baby with a big head. Just go away and leave me alone. They started my induction the next day at 8 A.M. They wanted to start it sooner but I just needed some time. Just a little bit longer to feel her alive inside me. I finally got the epidural at noon. They told me I could have it any time I wanted, but I wanted to do it as much as I could without any meds. It took me all day to progress to 9 cm. I started feeling pressure down there like I was shitting myself. I tried to tell the nurse but she blew me off. Bitch. Said that I had the epidural and I shouldn't be feeling anything. Give me a break. Is she for real? I finally got the guts to ask Rich to check if I was really shitting myself. I can't even take one in front of him at home, but I was scared that I really was losing control of my bowels. He assured me nothing was there. More and more I felt pressure and now contractions. I took it upon myself to push once with each one I felt. Probably not the best idea but my nurse wasn't listening so I didn't care. After 3 pushes I reached down to feel if anything was coming out. OMG, she was. I asked Rich to come look to see what it was. The look of terror on his face was my answer. I hit the nurse call button. "Can I help you?" She replied. "YEA I NEED A DR NOW, I THINK SHE'S COMING OUT!" Within seconds you could hear loud foot steps racing down the hall. "Yep, she's coming!" The doctor assured me. Well no shit! Not only was she coming, she was coming with the bag of water still in tack. YIKES! They broke the water, one push, and here she was. The moment we had waited for. Grace Elizabeth was born. I decided to name her Grace because thats exactly what she was. That is what she brought to our family. Grace. She didn't cry at first. I wondered if she was even alive. They told me she was. Rich mouthed the words, "She's beautiful" to me from the warmer. Still no cry. I felt a little panic. I kept asking why she wasn't crying. She was not doing well. Her breathing was stalling. Her air way was so tiny. She only had one nostrill trying to do the job of 2. She finally cried out because she was hurting. She wasn't getting enough air and it was slowly killing her. I didn't want any sort of interventions for her. I wanted her to go peacefully with dignity. They left her with us to spend time alone as a family. I fell asleep around 1 A.M. Daddy held her and talked to her. She took her final breath at 1:46 A.M. on October 26th, 2005. She died in the arms of her daddy. Letting her go was no as hard as it may seem. I had 4 months to prepare. It was a lot harder on Rich. He had only had 4 hours to hold her. I had 9 months. We went home the next day. I walked in to the hospital with a baby, and I walked out without her. I was prepared for her to die. I was not ready to live without her.
I often wonder if Gracie and Josslyn are the same. I sometimes wonder if Gracie had to die so that we may have our Jacob. Had she been a normal healthy baby girl we would have no had any more children. Hence, no Jacob. Oh how he has brought so much joy into our lives. I truely feel like she had to go so that we could have our Jacob. I feel like she came back, and she's here in her baby sister, Josslyn.
R.I.P baby girl. We love you always. Happy Birthday.
Aloha Friday
IT'S FRIDAAAAAAAAAAY! The last day of the week for waking up early, making lunches, and running all over creation. It's finally time to start winding down and getting ready for the relaxing weekend. So I'm joining Kailani over at Island Life for a little Aloha Friday. Every Friday Kailani challenges us to an easy question that takes minimal effort to answer and asks us to do the same. So here is my question...
I love to take pictures and do digital scrapping. If I could get away with doing it all day every day I would, LOL.

Scrappin' Saturday #2
Almost a week late, but I got a scrap done tonight. When Rich is home I hardly get any time to scrap. I feel bad doing it instead of spending time with him and the kids. Anyway, here it is. I learned how to blend images with papers. YAY!
Skinny Bitch!
I picked up this book the other day and for the first 5 chapters I couldn't put it down. It's full of raunchy humor. Sarcasm, and a lot of crazy factual stuff as well. But wait...hold up...what's this...::gasp:: I am taken aback...now I have to say I'm a little pissed off. WTF do you mean in order to be a skinny bitch I have to stop eating meat. Say Whaaa? I cannot just stop eating meat. I'm a meat and potatoes type of girl. I can give up my Coke Zero, it was hard but I did it. I can also maybe give up the junk food. I will even get off my lazy ass and do a little exercising, but you are telling me that I have to give up eating those delicious steaks, pot roast, and baked chicken?! Even EGGS! Yep that's right, I said it...eggs. The incredible edible is no longer incredible or edible. HMPH!
Hey Mr. Gas Man!!!
It only cost me $46.00 this morning to fill up! Why am I so excited over this? I remember when I got my license and thinking $13.00 to fill up was outrageous. "It's only gas!" I thought to myself. If I had only known then what I know now. I am still finding myself confused on the whole gas issue. Why are we paying this much for gas? How is it legal? Will it ever be back to $1.00 a gallon? Do politicians have to pay for their gas? CURSE YOU GAS MAN!

WORDLESS WEDNESDAY
I don't post many pictures of our angel baby girl, Grace Elizabeth, but this week she would have been 3. We miss her every day.

Josslyn's 4 Month WBV
AHHHH...4 months already?!?!?! Where has the time gone? My little teeny tiny is no longer a teeny tiny. She tipped the scales at 17lbs 1oz and 26.5" long. She got 4 shots and the Rotavirus drops. She did fairly well with the shots. As well as one can do getting poked 4 times. We discussed her reflux and the Prevacid not working. She said to just continue to give her the cereal with EBM (expressed breast milk) instead of formula. She had, what we think was, an allergic reaction to the formula. All in all she is a big healthy baby girl. :-)
Here Fishy Fishy Fishy!
This weekend we took the kids to the Aquarium in Tampa. It's nice being so close to things for us to do as a family. It is right on the bay and right next to Port Authority so we got to see people boarding this beautiful Carnival Cruise ship. Some day I will get over my fear of open water and will take a cruise with my spouse. We walked around Channelside with both boys soaking wet, lol. The aquarium had a water park and Justyn made friends quickly with some boys and they shot each other with water. He had a blast. I'm so glad he has overcome his fear of getting wet. I hope to soon get him over his fear of the beach. Kind of hard when mama is scared too. Anywho, where are some pics of our day. I wish I had more but my camera battery died. BOOOO!
Daddy dressed the boys this day. It makes me smile to see Justyn wearing these shorts.
When I bought them Rich did not love them at all. He thought they were girlie. Now he
is willingly putting them on Justyn. I love it when I'm right. Teehee!
Not the most flattering picture of me, but it's a rare occasion when Rich offers
to snap a picture of me with one of the kids.
Oh, it was also Josslyn's 4 month bday, and 4 months of exclusive nursing, YAY. Her is such a big girl.
